Who we are

Baião Urbano was born as an unpretentious musical project, wandering through various strands of Forró, between many living rooms and a few stages in Bonn and Cologne. 

A few concerts and several line-ups later, the current quintet features the classic accordion, zabumba and triangle trio, as well as bass, vocals and creative percussion. 

The focus remains the same: we want to play music that is fun to listen and dance to, mixing our favorite bits of xote, forró and baião.
